Young People's Hub

Help us make the best website for young disabled people!

KIDS is a charity that supports young people with disabilities and special educational needs.

If that’s you then we’re creating a brand new website just for you.

The idea for this came from young people we already work with. They told us they want a place that can give them information they can trust; ways to connect with other young people to share experiences or just have fun; opportunities to make their voices heard; and personalised support and advice when they need it most.

If you like the sound of that then get in involved. We need your help to make this.

Can you tell us what sort of information and advice you’d like to see? How would you like to connect with other young people and with us? What sort of issues matter to you?

If you’d like to get involved then enter your details in the form below. We’ll tell you how you can contribute your ideas; we’ll send you regular updates so you’re the first to see new features; and there will opportunities to win prizes too.

We’re really looking forward to hearing your ideas and working with you.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for young people who like the sound of the Hub and want to help us make it work. We need your input on everything about the Hub!

  • Content: what should it include?
  • Direct support: what do you need?
  • Visual design: what appeals to you?
  • Accessibility: how can we make it work for you?

And once we have built something in the Hub, we need you to try it out for us and tell us if it works for you.

If you think you can help us, please click the button below!

KIDS has been supporting young disabled people and young people with special educational needs for over 50 years. Every year we work with thousands of young people, empowering them to realise their full potential, amplifying their voices, and championing their rights. We believe that by building an online platform for disabled young people we will be able to support many more of you.

It’s really important to us that the Hub is designed for young people with disabilities and SEN themselves so we’re specifically asking them to get involved to tell us what they want it to be and help us as we build it.

But we recognise that parents, carers, and other friends and family members will be interested in the Hub and will have opinions too. So please do sign up below and we’ll keep you updated.

We’re absolutely not committed to the word ‘Hub’ so if you think it should be called something else, sign up and let us know!

We promise we’ll keep them secure and not give them to anyone else. We will only use them to send you information about the Hub, ask you questions, and invite you to take part in surveys or activities or free prize draws. There is no pressure for you to take part if you don’t want to. And you can tell us to stop contacting you at any time and we will respect your wishes. For full details of how we look after your information see our privacy policy.

If you’d like to ask us something that we haven’t covered here then please contact us.
