Anxiety in Young People with SEND

James, an NHS specialist in learning disabilities and mental health, chats to Charlie about anxiety in young people with SEND.
talking about anxiety with send

Charlie, one of our young people with SEND, has experienced extreme anxiety through his life. He wanted to help others with SEND understand their own anxiety issues.

James works for NHS Frimley as a commissioner in Learning Disability & Autism. He has lots of experience helping SEND youngsters to achieve good mental health.

James kindly sat down with Charlie, and they had a good chat about Anxiety with SEND.

We hope this film has helped you understand a little more about the link between anxiety and SEND.

Anxiety isn’t something you have to struggle with on your own. Reach out to friends, family, or the team here at Kids if we can help.

James has also shared his advice on common anxiety issues with us, and you can watch these short Q&As right here.

We’d like to thank James and NHS Frimley for their help and support in making this film, and supporting young people with SEND who are struggling with anxiety.
