Self-Love Time

Embrace and love yourself & who you are

What are we going to do in this activity?

Self-love means being kind to yourself and appreciating who you are.

This doesn’t mean you have to ignore things you want to work on or pretend everything’s perfect. It’s about recognizing your strengths, accepting your unique qualities, and treating yourself like a friend.

In this activity, you’ll take time to focus on what makes you great and practice showing yourself care and kindness.

Before we start

Grab a mirror or piece of paper

Grab a Mirror or a Piece of Paper: You can choose to talk to yourself in a mirror or write your thoughts down.

Find a quiet spot

Find a calm place where you can focus on yourself without interruptions.

Lets get started

1

Think of 1 thing...

Think of one thing you like about yourself

It could be a physical feature, a skill, or part of your personality.

For example do you like your hair, are you good at singing, are you a kind friend…

Say it out loud or write it down.

2

Say something kind to yourself

Imagine you’re talking to your best friend.

What’s something nice they’d say to you? Repeat it to yourself.

Write down or say some positive comments to yourself:

“I deserve to be happy” or “I am enough.”

3

Self-care

Do a small act of self-care…

You could take a deep breath, stretch, drink some water, or give yourself a hug.

4

Focus on your strengths

Write or say three things you’re good at or proud of..

Things like being a good listener, good at drawing, being kind to others, someone who is trustworthy…

5

Thank yourself

Say “thank you” to yourself for trying, learning, and being you.

You did it !

Remember, take your time with each step and repeat the activity whenever you need to show yourself some self-care and love

Challenge time

If you’ve completed this activity, and would like to challenge yourself further, you could

  • Write a letter to yourself about why you’re proud of who you are.

  • Create a list of positive affirmations, like “I deserve to be happy” or “I am enough.” Read them daily.
