Pop Culture Writing

In this creative writing workshop, we'll explore our relationship with pop culture by using our favourite games, books, movies and music.

About this group

In this creative writing workshop, we will be exploring our relationship with pop culture, and using our favourite games, books, movies and music to imagine and experiment with different worlds. The workshop will be very relaxed and you don’t need to have any experience of writing to take part.
This is a chance to have fun and celebrate your pop culture favourites! The workshop is run by Elspeth Wilson who is a writer and poet. She has written a poetry book called Too Hot to Sleep which draws on pop culture like Twilight, Vampire Diaries and the Sims to explore growing up, neurodiversity and first love in different forms.

Need more support?

Our groups are designed to help you to support your own wellbeing. Our staff will support you to make friends, have fun and do activities that feel good. But we are not trained counsellors or therapists and this is not a crisis service. If you are unwell, please take a look at our Help page for suggestions of where you can find support.
