Hear Me Out YPEG

KIDSf2f

Hear Me Out YPEG (Young Person’s Engagement Group) is made up of young people aged 14-25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), who meet up across Bridlington and the surrounding areas within the East Riding of Yorkshire. The aim of the group is to make new friends, have fun, learn about what affects them and to tell others what they want: to have their voices heard!  The young people do this by linking with local services to share their feedback and ideas to help improve those services for young people with SEND. We also take part in fun and creative activities in half-terms and over the summer holidays.

Group members say the best things about Hear Me Out YPEG are:

  • “Everybody’s thoughts and ideas are valued and considered equally”
  • “We have input in the things that matter to us as young people with special needs / disabilities”
  • “Everything is made accessible / easier to understand meaning that we can all show our full potential”

This is a free service for young people. Hear me Out YPEG is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and run by KIDS.
